A Six-Week Series with George Haas

To get anywhere in meditation you need to be able to really steady the mind and be present. Daniel Ingram
Access Concentration (upacara-samadhi) means you have the ability to maintain consistent awareness of your object of meditation while excluding distractions. This first attainment opens the door to higher stages of concentration training (jhanas), and the path to insight (vipassana).
This is the ideal course for people new to, or at the beginning stages of their meditation practice. It is designed to develop concentration through simple and easy-to-do techniques. You will begin to understand the various paths to liberation through the Threefold Training: In Pali sila - morality, samadhi - concentration, and paññā - wisdom or insight, and to help you find a strategy for your own continuing practice. Although this course is designed for those with a newer meditation practice, it is also appropriate for anyone who wants to pump up their meditation skills.
Cost: $120, plus dana to the teacher.
No one is turned away for lack of funds - scholarships are available.
